Shadow People

What exactly is a shadow person? Well, there are actually several different theories to this alleged paranormal entity.

One is shared by skeptics. They believe that shadow people are a type of hallucination where the subject perceives a patch of shadow in their peripheral vision to be a living, human-like figure or possibly creating shadow people with an over-active imagination. For instance, skeptics think that the shadows are created by our minds playing tricks on us, illusions conceived by real shadows of actual moving objects and such.

Then there’s the perspective of many theorists. They claim that shadow people are really time travelers from our own future stepping back in time to observe us. While other theorists suggest that shadow people are possibly interdimensional beings that are very close to our own dimension.

However, many people in fact, do believe that there is a sinister side to shadow people. Their view is that shadow people are demonic in nature because of the malevolent feeling (a negative feeling) associated when encountering them. Or that shadow people are spawned from deep negative emotions that may plague a severely depressed person.

Have I ever had any experiences with these so-called beings? The answer is yes, but unlike several others who felt a sense of malevolence, I didn’t feel anything negative at all. With each encounter that I had (and I’ve had quite a few), I felt perfectly fine. The shadow people’s manifestations were always extremely brief before vanishing. I didn’t fear them nor did they try to intimidate me. They were a little taller than me in stature (I’m 5’4″), but they weren’t massive in size. Their form wasn’t well-defined either, just an obscured image of a darkened silhouette.

Does everyone have the same kind of experience that I’ve had? Of course not because there wouldn’t be so many different theories regarding the shadow people’s existence if they did. What do I believe that they are or even “who” they are? I honestly can’t say. All I know is from my own alert and sober-minded experiences that shadow people do exist. We as individuals have our own views and perspectives on how we see things. Some people are a little more frightened by the unknown than other people are and the level of each one of our fears is something that can’t be measured. But as in any setting, I highly recommend that if a person does have an encounter with a shadow person and they do feel a sense of uneasiness, then do not provoke the situation. I firmly believe in following your intuition and trusting that inner voice. You never want to place yourself in a predicament that may cause you harm.

Interview with empath/soul treader, Kelen

Today I’m welcoming empath/soul treader, Kelen, owner of http://www.unwanted-around.com/. Thank you, Kelen for stopping by!

Tell us about yourself.

I’m 38 years old, born in the east of France, I’m living in Canada since 3 years 1/2 now. As a lonely child, I was very calm and scared like hell about almost everything, I always thought the song “Fear of the Dark” had been written for me…Later, I studied psychology, learned about occult sciences, paranormal, stepped into meditation, Zen, crystals, cards, auras, Buddhism, symbols and dreams analysis almost ten years ago, I developed my empathic accuracy that works now with people, animals and houses.
I was raised in a catholic family and attended private catholic schools, nobody asked my opinion at that time, I rejected all kinds of religion and found myself in what I call “a way of mind and soul” with Buddhist philosophy. I discovered my psychic empathy very young, without really knowing about it… life of a souls treader…

Your website is called Unwanted, http://www.unwanted-around.com/. What was the driving force behind its creation?

At the beginning I didn’t even think about sharing my “gift” or helping people, I wasn’t sure about my feelings, if it was real or a trick played by my mind… First, I had to be sure that I wanted to deal with this part of me almost everyday, and then with people. I waited many years before I finally let myself in and use social media… I don’t like “clichés” and stereotypes as I use on my website, but sometimes you need to put popular words on what you’re dealing with. I don’t like to talk about ghosts or evil or spirits, those come from our fears, our ignorance about the unknown… for me it’s residual or intelligent energies, bad or good, stuck in our world or able to travel by vortex or portal. My strength is that I’m very comfortable with the two sides: very good or very bad, in bright light or darkness, life or death… duality is my soul mate in a perfect balance.
Unwanted sounds right to me, because everybody is afraid of the unknown, being disturbed by those kind of energies could be really unwanted… and I found it “catchy” 🙂

On your site you mention how you can feel the energies of the unexplained. What has that been like for you and how would you consider this ability, good or bad?

I guess it’s a family story, mixed with gypsy blood and bohemian origins on my father’s side, my great grandmother was a natural healer, the village “shaman”, her daughter was a tarot reader and passionate about occult sciences, my dad does astrology and has a very strong intuition…I grew up in Europe where houses can be 1000 years old, carrying a lot of energies and stories inside ..when I was younger I wasn’t sure about my perception, if it was a gift or a curse! It took me a few years before talking about it and starting to help people… Empaths are awake about their environment, energies, vibes… when you realize there’s something “different” inside you, you need to understand, it’s like learning a new language. For me now it’s having a kind of a permanent decoder and be able to “feel, hear and see” what’s behind.

Mind sharing with us some of your experiences and were they frightening or positive in nature, or maybe even both?

There’s two side on the coin, not more. Good or bad, light or darkness, positive or negative…
We have to deal with nice people or very bad people in life, residual or intelligent energies are alike.

I have a few stories and good or bad memories, but it’s usually good and positive experiences… especially with people I meet.
A funny one was the owners of a 200 year old house. They were sure that something wrong was moving the furniture and accessories in the house. It was an intelligent energy (precedent owner) who disagreed with the new decoration of the house, when I asked them if they wanted me to clean the house and make this entity leave, they said “no it’s not necessary, you know we get use to it and it’s very friendly, can she just not be upset every time we change furniture?”

Sad stories are connected with bad endings… violent death like suicide, alcohol trouble, violence, murder… the perfect cocktail to have residual energies.
I’ve never been physically attacked, but psychologically reached, destabilized a few times and scared… I had few experiences when I’ve been talked to, it always comes out of nowhere…

The last very sad one was a couple months ago when I was visiting a brand new shop of a friend of mine but in an old location. Everything was ok until I went to the back store. sadness took me down, I would throw up and cry immediately. I had to leave the room to feel better. I did the back and forward three times, same reaction… I finally found out what it was… a young woman, probably in her 30’s died, after sexual assault…
It took a medium and another souls treader to handle this case… I still have shivers every time I think about this place…

Also on your site you talk about the symptoms of having the presence of unwanted energies. What are some of the signs that people may experience?

There’s a lot of different signs, beside the water vs electrical problem (being watch sensation) or telluric fault (earth fault who can provide weird feeling) you may have those few experiences:
– You hear footsteps, tapping, or bumps
– You frequently experience cold spots, or a room temperature dramatically drops.
– You hear voices, music, or smells such as perfume or cigar smoke, or feel being touched somewhere on your body.
– You see shadows move across the room, or out of the corner of your eye.
– You often feel that you’re being watched or get that chilling feeling that makes your hair on your arms stand up.
– Items or furniture in your home move, disappear, then reappear frequently.
– Electrical appliances and/or lights turn on or off by themselves
– You see orbs, flashes of light, or mists.
– You or your kid see an apparition, your pets have a weird behavior
– You have a bad feeling or feeling anxious, nauseous in specific spots of the house.
– Or you simply moved to a new house and you want to be sure that it’s clean from negatives energies.

You even discuss dreams and symbols analysis. Share with everyone a little about that.

We spend almost one third or half of our lives asleep. I realized how important messages, symbols or others secrets in our lucid dreaming could be. The analysis is not a simple act as opening a dream dictionary and finding the meaning. Environment, feelings, sensations, people, light, location… every single part and details of the dream are related with the most important thing: symbols.
The most helpful way to understand is the analysis of these symbols hidden in the dreams. There’re strong messages in our unconscious life during the night, and some affect the daily one…
It took me a few years of research, analysis to understand my own dreams, now to provide advice and interpretations for people, reminds me how powerful dreams are in our spiritual leader life.
Tell me what you dream about, I’ll tell you who you are and where you’ll go!

Tell us about the types of services you provide and how can people contact you?

I do dream analysis as a consultant, you can reach me by phone or email, give me a few lines about your dream and I will provide a complete file with analysis, symbols and meaning.
For my principal “activity” it’s very simple: contact me by email, I will after a short interview and analysis, set an appointment at your place. I will walk around the house and let you know about my feelings.
If necessary, and only if, I will start a ritual:
– Cleansing complete house
– Cleansing owners / tenants
– Psychic protection and blessing
– Advice.
As you said earlier, I have my own website (home made) and I’m active on Twitter, Facebook, and recently (thanks to you) on wordpress..

What’s your advice when dealing with unwanted energies?

It’s very special, don’t try by yourself or with people who think they know. It’s almost like you’re sick and you want to cure yourself…
Stay away from internet advice, usually it’s the best way to make it worse.
Ghost Hunters are very popular, but beside the fact they want proof and a lot of views on youtube, they don’t really provide help, it’s more a hobby than anything else. I have a lot of respect for them, but as people can see in those “shows” when it starts to be excessively strong or powerful they ask for help! Mediums, psychics or souls treaders are the most qualified to do something really efficient and provide real help.
It could be a nice debate for a next interview : Ghost Hunters vs Souls treaders… at least we are powered by the same energy: the unknown! 🙂

Being respectful and well protected is the key. When those energies are very bad, malicious and powerful, only strong minds can avoid them. Another major risk: bringing it back with you…
A little tip: Think about cleaning yourself before and after, and believe!

Any positive words of wisdom?

As it’s written on my website, I’m grateful for every blessing the Universe has and will ever create for me!
I would like to sincerely thank you for your interest and your kindness!
Namaste.

Deja Vu

Deja vu is a French term meaning “already seen”. It basically describes the feeling one gets when they’re experiencing a current situation even though they know that it has never happened before. Why do so many people claim to experience such phenomenon? Who knows. Perhaps it’s a form of premonition or maybe even something due to reincarnation…. the mere possibility that the individual had been in that exact same situation in a previous life and being there in this life could have triggered some sort of “past-life” memory. As perplexing as it sounds, there may be some basis to that theory, but then again, that’s subject to one’s interpretation.

Like many others, I’ve had deja vu moments. I remember when I was a teenager, I was out with some friends and it was close to Halloween. We were going to a haunted Halloween trail. When we arrived at the location, I was in a state of awe, like wow! I didn’t say anything to my friends because I didn’t want to embarrass myself, but the familiar feeling of being there before was extremely intense. Weird thing was, that this location was in another county that I had never visited. But prior to arrival, I already knew what the main building looked like and the layout of the Halloween attraction’s trail. Spooky, right?! I thought so too at the time. Maybe that was the result of a premonition?

Another deja vu moment that I’ve experienced happened just last summer when my son and I visited an old hospital that had been beautifully restored and turned into a museum. As we toured this historic location, we walked through each room taking in the sights. So many things on display, it was astonishing! The whole time we were there, I kept getting this extreme feeling that I had been there before, but I knew for a fact that we had never been to that historical site. And there was no way possible that I was ever a patient there because the hospital closed down before I was even born. The connection that I felt to that place was absolutely undeniable!

Have you ever experienced deja vu? If so, please share!!

Dreams… or Premonitions?

Dreams come in many forms. For some people, dreams occur like random flashes of broken images while other individuals may experience visuals that are in-depth with extreme detail. Many people dream in various shades of black and white, and others dream in vivid colors. Dreams are as unique as the individual who has them. There are even people who claim they don’t dream at all. Some dreams can have such an effect on us that they may linger on our minds for days. However, some can become easily forgotten within minutes upon us waking.

And yet, there are those of us who have dreams that are more than mere fantasy. I’m speaking in regards to premonitions like the ones that I have. When I get premonitions, they happen like reoccurring dreams. Often, I will have them over a matter of weeks and more extreme ones have happened over a matter of a few years. For me, these reoccurring dreams (or premonitions as I like to call them) don’t cease until they actually happen in real life. Occasionally, I will get a premonition only once just prior to it becoming real.

Do I consider myself a seer? Absolutely not. I’ve never experienced visions like those reported by Michel de Nostredame, Edgar Cayce or even Sylvia Brown. I don’t even have visions on a regular basis. They’re not something that I can easily pull out of thin air either.

Some of the earliest premonitions that I can recall happened back when I was a little girl in elementary school. The visions weren’t anything epic, but nonetheless, they were still something to me. I could “see” events happening in advance and other similar things. Like I stated earlier, my premonitions occur during dreams. I, like everyone else, have ordinary dreams that aren’t premonitions. It’s easy for me to tell them apart. All my dreams and premonitions come to me very vividly and realistically. However, with my premonitions I get a feeling that’s kind of hard to explain. The best way for me to describe it would be to say that when I get a premonition dream, the vision is accompanied by an intense sense of “knowing”.

When I was a kid I wouldn’t speak about my visions, but as I got older, I would randomly say little things to my friends and they would be like, “how did you know?”. I would simply shrug my shoulders and laugh it off, being very nonchalant about it. Do I take my premonitions lightly? Of course not, but I don’t shy away from them either. I welcome them and always listen to my intuition.

An Event To Remember!

Happy weekend one and all! Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween. I know I sure did! This has always been my favorite time of year, the smell of the crisp autumn air as it sweetens the chilled autumn evenings. However the nights are getting longer, it gives us the opportunity to light those candles and enjoy their warm, illuminating glow.

Earlier in the week I was the guest speaker at a paranormal speaking event. Had such an amazing turnout and met some really fantastic people who were also there to share their paranormal experiences. We all engaged in topics ranging from ones that have been discussed on this blog like ghostly travelers to the different types of hauntings.

The subject of reincarnation even found its way into the discussion. A lady who attended the event shared with everyone a very interesting story. She told us all about an extremely vivid dream that she once had. But she said that her dream wasn’t just a dream. She said that it felt more like an actual memory, perhaps a memory from a past life. Upon waking, she remembered every minute detail. In her dream, the lady saw herself, yet it wasn’t her in this lifetime. She was from a different era, turn of the century…. Victorian times. In her realistic dream, she even discovered the name of the woman who she thought to be her. So the next day, it sparked something in her so much that it prompted her to research the woman. Her findings were conclusive. The Victorian era lady from her dream actually did live at the turn of the century and had the exact name that was mentioned in the dream. This woman who attended the speaking event said that prior to her dream, she had never heard of the Victorian lady before in her life. She had no explanation to why she had the mysterious dream. Her belief is that it was a fragmented memory from a previous lifetime that surfaced its way into her subconscious mind during sleep.

Other stories that were shared were quite uplifting that included deceased loved ones who still visit the living by showing signs only recognizable to those they hold dear. While some stories were sadder in nature and somewhat emotional. I, too shared several of my own paranormal experiences, like the time when I was a young girl witnessing my first shadow person, followed by more encounters throughout my life. Then, there was the time that I had a frightening experience with a Ouija Board when I was a teenager. An unforgettable memory, even though it happened many years ago, I still remember it as if it occurred only yesterday.

The speaking events that I host aren’t only for me to discuss the paranormal, they’re also a way for others to openly share their preternatural encounters. Having an open mind is key to understanding the unknown.

Incubus & Succubus: Erotic Dream or a Deviant Reality?

There are still a lot of people out there who haven’t heard of these lascivious creatures, while there are others who shun away from the sheer notion of them. And yet, there are those of us who are lured into their provocative legends.

An incubus is a demon who allegedly climbs on top of women who are sleeping in attempt to have sex with them. The female counterpart of an incubus is referred to as a succubus. She acts seductively in the same manner as her counterpart, however her victims are sleeping men.

Incubi and succubi (plural for incubus and succubus) are supposedly extremely attractive, charming and know exactly how to persuade their victims into their lustful trap. Legend states that these erotic demons lie on top of their helpless victims while they sleep and enter their dreams causing nocturnal emissions to occur. Many believe that the purpose of the incubus is to impregnate women, while the succubus’s purpose is to drain the souls of men. Superstitions claim that if a relationship with either of these demonic entities is formed, then it can lead to severe health issues and possibly even death.

Reports of incubi date way back to 2400 BC during Mesopotamia times. It was rumored that the hero, Gilgamesh’s father was Lilu, an incubus that supposedly aroused women in their sleep with his erogenous ways. The men from that era had their version as well, the succubus referred to as Lililu. Another tale comes from the Malleus Maleficarum in 1486 written by Heinrich Kramer. Kramer wrote that a succubus’s purpose was to seduce her victim and collect his semen. Then, the incubus would take the semen and use it to impregnate his female victim. With this theory, it gives explanation as to how demons sire children. These alleged children were called cambions who were often born cursed with birth defects and a sensitivity to the supernatural.

Versions of the incubus are known worldwide. In South Africa, their version is referred to as Tokolosh. In Germany, their version is an Alp and in Chile, they call theirs The Trauco. And succubus versions known worldwide include the Huldra in Scandinavia, the Siren in Greece and even the widely known mermaid.

Many scientists theorize that victims of succubi and incubi could quite possibly be the unfortunate victims of actual sexual assaults. And that the elaborate stories of such creatures were created to help conceal the truths behind the heinous realities.
